One of my clients recently asked me whether their data is at risk as I work for an American subsidiary of a Japanese company. I did not know how to answer. Any advice?

Slashdot has a this bit about the 30-bit crypto key in your hi-tech car key being cracked. Owners of car keys with RFIDs in them are advised to wrap them in tin foil when not using them - seriously.
